Works as promised, no regrets spending the $.

i was leaning toward manufacture point. i have a Charlotte frame and it is flush at both ends. i have run over 1k rounds through it.
definitely an odd thing, quality control should have picked up on that. fit and finish are important.

south central NY. 4.5 miles from the nearest town, 20 miles from anything bigger than a convenience store. i try to pop in once a week to see whats up.

i had the issue only once, i keep the lever end lower than the spring and rotate up as the pin seats.

OK people, i just received the kit for the non threaded barrel in the mail. i put off dinner, grabbed my cleaning box and commenced with the tear-down. folks, this kit IS EXACTLY AS PROMISED. works like a charm. reassembly too. thumb pusher is the best part. no more pinched thumbs and cramps from holding the spring back. If you are contemplating one of these kits, don't wait.

i have 6 mags, 2 gen 1 and the others gen 2. all have been tweaked in the tab areas by straightening them a bit and removing any sharp edges. followers in the gen 1 pair were trimmed 1/16 inch. still needs more. i mainly run the gen2 mags. reliability is not an issue and i can cycle federal hydro shock through without a problem

my r51 is a replacement for a gen 1 . has a Charlotte stamp on the frame. the issue i have is with the gen 1 mags. used judicious bending of the front lips and still have a ftf with 7 rounds loaded. the 4 gen 2 mags i have show no issues. stopped using the gen 1 mags and have 600 rounds through it with just the gen 2. no problems. now if i can just keep my thumb out of the way with a 2 hand hold.......

600 rounds and had only one jam on round 6 in a gen 1 mag. my other 5 have no issues. i tweaked the feed lips an the follower stop in front and that fixed it. i only had 50 rounds total through the weapon at that time.

greetings. i know the rural king in ocala very well, have a house in inverness. i too lament the fact i cant buy out of state without a ton of paperwork. primary residence is in the anti gun state of new york.

Be prepared to bend some metal. Let us know.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when shareholders mean more to a company than happy customers.

Johnny, did you do the mods to your mags yet? I bent the front follower retaining lip out 1 mm on all 6 of my mags and haven't had any issues with nose dives or mags dropping. My 2 first gen mags do need a good shove to get them to seat. Trimming the followers should set that straight. I am setting a Saturday for that and testing.

Nice pair Johnny! I need a smoke framed sister for Hilda (black Huntsville). Now I wish I wasn't embroiled in a tractor restoration project!  Life is expensive!

Same here, but I am saddled with a 5.0 conversion in my daughters mustang.

If the r51 springs were tapered/spiraled like the shield springs, there would be no coil bind like some of us have experienced.

i am now envious of y'all in the southern 1/4 of the states. the weather in the upstate of NY has, well............ sucked. have not been able to set up my targets to practice and make some noise. i have been tearing down and reassembling though. it seems to be getting easier. the clamp is the ticket. i want to modify one to be a little more specific in placement.if possible. it looks like my weather will break next weekend, maybe. until then i have to put my daughters rustang back together. she took the engine and rear out. so i figured i would but a bigger set in it. who couldn't use an extra 100 hp?

be safe
Chris
