R51 General Discussion / Sweetheart Grips?
February 26, 2019, 08:44:33 AM
Is anybody rocking sweetheart grips on their R51? With the retro styling of this model, seems most apropos to have a pinup or a B&W photo of the GF/wifie.

I'm considering making up some acrylic panels, if there's interest.

Threaded barrels are a GO! Find them at DANGERCO.US

DangerCo's online storefront is live, and we have 25 all-stainless threaded Gen II Factory Remington barrels available. These are standard Gen II barrels that we precision thread and extend with bored solid-billet 416 stainless rods. The Remington rifling and muzzle are untouched, preserving the factory barrel quality that built Big Green.

MSRP is $125, but to support this forum's community we're offering coupon code R51FORUM for $25 off, and we'll ship free!

As far as I can see, we are the only manufacturer in the word to produce threaded R51 barrels, and the only other option is to send in your entire slide assembly elsewhere to have your own barrel threaded for $160.

R51 General Discussion / Barrel Thread Pitch
January 17, 2018, 04:55:55 PM
Doing some R&D on a threaded barrel concept, and had a quick question about the preferred pitch.

I'm most familiar with 1/2-28 for muzzle devices, but see a number of 9mm pistol barrels in 13.5mmx1LH as well.

If a R51 threaded barrel were to hit the market, would y'all be interested in the metric thread, or would the 1/2 thread be preferred?

For suppressors, all mine have been Form-1'ed and I haven't paid much attention to other commercial pattern as they don't constrain my design.

Introductions section / Engineerpower!

Hello World!

Greetings, from Central Indiana! I'm Cameron Husk, Director of Engineering for a VOSB machine shop called 'DangerCo, LLC'. I just purchased a Gen2 R51 last week with the $100 rebate (couldn't pass it up), and am really looking forward to learning the Pedersen system and working with this nice little handgun.

I run a CNC design and prototyping shop, so I will probably be seeking the community's feedback on potential new product development. Some of the things we're discussing are:

  • Threaded barrels
  • CNC Aluminum adjustable triggers
  • Improved followers
  • Grip panels

It's a very niche community (what with all the poo-poo'ing on Big Green), so we'd like to get involved with aftermarket support and serving a dedicated group of enthusiasts.

Thanks all!
