Well, i guess its time to start waiting for the big liquidation clearance.  When I start seeing these going for $100-150, ill buy a ton of them.

Im guessing when there is an official announcement that it's being discontinued, this will confirm everyone's bias that these were junk.  I would imagine thats when the firesale will start.

Personally, id ditch every other handgun i own in favor of these. 

I have two that actually work.

Nice finish, milled not cast, no plastic or zamak, $200.  Whats not to like.

He seemed almost apologetic that it did well.  Nice to see another semi-positive high profile review of the gun.

The r51 seems to be more robust than the model 51.  The breech block on the r51 is one solid piece wheras the model 51 has a lot of material machined out of the middle.

I looked into getting a model 51, but decided against it since the breech blocks are known to break, and are irreplaceable. 

Hopefully we can look forward to totally reliable r51s then.  People are critical of this gun's quality issues, but guns operating off of a totally new (or not developed) mechanism tend to have issues for a while.

Nice thing about the r51s action is that it appears to be very strong.  Change the timing on the slide's cam, and you could run much higher pressures.  Rounds normally used in revolvers, rifle rounds maybe?  You could probably turn the r51 into a 45 without changing much of anything.

It still shows in stock at most of the gun deals retailers.  Doesnt seem like anybody is running out of them.

Things may have changed since their bankruptcy was discharged.  At least as far as those rebates go.  Still, might be some black friday deals to look for.

On guns deals, i see them for 235 sometimes.  250 seems to be the normal price you can pick them up for.

If they did another mail-in rebate, id probably buy another.  After rebate, if it gets below 200, id get one, if it got more towards 150, id buy 2 or 3.

These guns may have some twitchy issues, but the overall workmanship and finish is great.  The fact that these
can sell for highpoint prices is insane.

That front lip was causing me issues.  I bent it forward a bit, and suddenly wolf was reliable.....although it might have been keyholing.  It was still decently accurate.

Hope you find a way to like the gun.  If nothing else, it will make good material for many more videos.

.22tcm barrels would be kinda cool too.

Main obstacle to r51 accuracy is the trigger.  Dry fire it and notice how much the site picture moves around.  Practice reducing the movement.

I find r51's to be very accurate.  I do better with these than I do with my full sized cz75.  I know what you mean about the keyholing wolf ammo, but even then I was getting pretty tight groups.  Say the size of my fist at 10 yards.

The trigger is the biggest obstacle.  When I dry fire, i find it more difficult to keep the front site from moving around.  Where I put the trigger on my finger seems to make a big difference.

What most gun salesmen say is going to be parroting youtube gun media.  Most of them won't have gone out and tried it for themselves, and even if they did, they still might not like it.  I think guys with big soft hands will tend to take a beating from this gun.

Setting this gun up to shoot anything but 9mm will drive up ammo costs. 

The shorter tcm round is a good idea.  Just a barrel change.  Maybe a spring change.  Would probably bring muzzle flip down to almost nothing.

.22tcm is a good bit longer than 9mm or .357sig.  The r51 frame would need a redesign to accommodate that one.
