Thx for the report.
In my experience: the R51 benefits from a clean and lube about every 200 rounds.

Welcome Victor... The R51 has apparently been discontinued so glad you found two at a good price... Joe

How to sign up - the rules / Re: r 51 videos

Agreed scouts... My R51 has been less than reliable, but I know many have had no unusual problems... and yes the take down "difficulty" seems exaggerated.
Definitely a few drama queens out there - Joe

R51 General Discussion / Re: So I bought these new sights ...
« on: March 08, 2019, 01:54:34 AM »
Search sight-tool.com, $64.99 on ebay
This worked great on another pistol for me. Have not used on R51.
Can be used to remove/install/adjust.
You can pay more or less for sight tools but this seems to me to be good quality for the money.
I'll never use a punch and hammer again for sights. Too much potential for damage.
Let us know what happens - Joe

I can't help with the serial number, but...
The picture at the top of this page shows a Gen1 slide.
The Gen2 slide has the "R51" logo closer to the ejection port.
Hope that helps - Joe

Yes it is Gen2.

R51 General Discussion / Re: My R51 is back!!
« on: February 07, 2019, 01:43:58 PM »
John thanks for the followup.
On mine I found a small sharp edge on the bottom of the bolt face (the place where Funk said he thought a lip was removed). Just enough to catch a finger nail. So I smoothed/rounded with fine emory cloth.
My R51 has had a random FTF nose dive problem since day one. Maybe this will help.... Joe

Seems "polished the bolt " is what they did for HR Funk too...
Any chance you could post pictures or a description of said polishing?
Thx - Joe
