I just ordered a holster from;

http://aliengearholsters.com/remington-r51-cloak-tuck-iwb-holster-inside-the-waistband.html

I have a holster for my Glock 33 from Comfort Tuk but they don't make one for our R51's.  What I liked about it was the leather separating you from the holster & gun is complete cover.  I'm not one for wearing two shirts generally speaking and surely not in the warmer months.  But I also don't want the cold gun on my skin nor do I want to sweat on the gun.  This AlienGear holster accomplishes both.  And if it is as comfortable as the Comfort Tuk I'll be elated.  The Comfort Tuk is so good that car, couch, etc. at times I'd forget I was carrying, that good!  Gonna check out the Utilclip also;

Thanks guys. I am an avid dry firer.  I firmly believe it is one of the best accuracy exercises one can do.  As well as assist in that "break in"

I agree Kirk, know your weapon and shoot it accordingly!  I adjusted to it. But some have adjusted the gun to them.  Both work as long as it goes where you want it to !  Seems to me if I hit the bad guy an inch or two low in his sternum that it will still have a productive effect.

I also noticed the mag release issue.  However, slight upward pressure on the mag relieves the binding.  Not a biggy for me, generally dropping empties not full mags.  and if I do my hand is right there to catch it so applying the pressure is inconsequential.

Glad to have you, welcome from Ohio !  Don't give up on her. A little tweaking goes a long way.  Some have to go back to big green but some don't.

Greetings Walt from Ohio !
No home range, but two R-51's.  Yup, I like the feel in my hand as well !  Mine both shoot great.  A lot of good guys and ideas here.  I also am awaiting the range report.

R51 General Discussion / Trigger work

Hi folks!
Any of you torn into the trigger?  I am still reluctant to disassemble that deep.  I've done Glock and Springfield XD's.
If so is there anything we can do to improve on it?  In particular that bump at the end of the pull?

Remington R51 Facts and Specs / Re: twist rate?

Yes, MR,
I dry fire a lot.  And find the same as you.  It seems it is that "bump" as some call it, at the end just after the sear releases. I too find trigger finger placement to help.  I also found a firmer left hand stabilizing grip seemed to help.  But I still can't say I can do it consistently.

Hi Todd,
I'm a little late, but...congratulations on the new R1S.  I also have one.  Is yours the enhanced version?  I agree, the first time I shot mine I was impressed. If it misses I'm convinced it's me not the gun.
