Numrich has R51 grip screws and washers.  Kinda proud of 'em though.
Still, when ya gotta have 'em, you gotta have 'em!

Todd,
I think you may need a new spring in that magazine.   Did you
clip the spring on that mag?
If so it may be to weak .\
I found a website that explains gun springs. I will start a new comment.

 What Crosstrains said!!!
We are not playing tiddly winks here, we determine a problem with a magazine,
we research it, and then try to fix it.  I proved out my research today, as I
fired 8 mags fully loaded 5 times.  280 shots.  No FUBARs or SNAFUs!
A couple of us have the smarts to redesign small parts that have caused
problems.  Something that Big Green does not seem to want to do.

Guys,
Like I said earlier,  the  Weaver Stance sucks.   I have been shooting
for 70 years, and I have always shot with my left hand under my strong
hand.   I repeat, under!  Not wrapped around my strong hand on top of the
slide.   I learned that long ago.  Just because some writer for a gun magazine
decides that his stance is better does not make it so. I hit what l aim at,
and that is what this game is about.

Art,
More than a couple of hundred.  I am sure that there are many who go directly to
Big Green,  or other forums.   I know for a fact that RIA monitors the 1911 forums and
the .22TCM/9MM forums.
Of if Remington  are not monitoring, then they are derelict in their duties.

Whoopie!
Temp in the low '70s tomorrow, gonna go out and shoot Smokey.  Also gonna
eval all 8 mags and keep logs on them.   Each mag has different mods on them.
My last mag #8, I got from Big Green has no mods at all.   Gonna try it in Smokey first,
then Blackie.
Blackie

Can't wait for a range report on Smokey.

Range Report on Smokey.
Took the Smokey to the range today and ran all 8 mags through it 3 times.  Only one failure to feed, and that
was due to my dumb thumb on Blackie   Which I also ran all mags through twice. .
In all, 168 rounds through Smokey, and 112 through Blackie.
Oh!  And lost one screw and O-ring from Smokey.  Guess I need to contact Remington.
All in all, both guns ran like "Man-O-War"!

Jug,
I made the modifications to my magazines as symptoms arose.  Not each mag
required the same mods.   I just got back from a trip to the range, and all 8 of
my mags ran like "Man O' War" in both Smokey and Blackie.   I and several others
on this forum have proven out our theories on our own mags.

I just "plunk-checked" my reloads and they are perfect... You might have a lemon barrel(?) Not sure if it makes any difference, but I bought mine right after the Gen 2s came out and haven't had any of the problems I have seen people talk about on this forum (after about the first 100 rounds).
I plunk mine too.  I actually bought a second barrel so that I could have it in my reloading gear to plunk right away.

The rounds that plunk right end up being so short that they cause feed problems.

It's not too big a deal, just a bit irritating is all.  I'll just feed the R51 factory fresh ammo and save my reloads for all of my other 9mm chambered guns.

Peace favor your sword,
Kirk

Kirk,
Is it possible to have a competent gunsmith rerbore the chamber so that the reloads fit properly?"
Kinda above my pay grade. The barrels on ebay are cheap enough to try it on one or two.

Engineer,
If you come up with a standard threaded barrel, I will be interested.
No Metric stuff.
