What do you adjust in your mags?

Welcome to the forum!  Lots of good information here, so post any questions and range reports as you put more rounds through your R51.

Thatís what I like about the forum too. The enthusiastic R51 owners here are a welcome change from the Remington bashing that occurs on most other gun forums.

RK Guns has R51s for $199. Nice price.

R51 General Discussion / Re: Is Remington still making R51's?

Thatís really unfortunate.  I thought a gen 3 could really tie up some loose ends in the design.  What does that mean for warranty support?

Iím also interested in what work Remington is doing to the breech block to make it run better.

With a full 7 in the magazine, it does prefer to be charged from the slide locked open position.

That does seem like a light charge for a 100 grain bullet.  Itís what I use for 124 grain bullets.

It looks like Gunprodeals bought all of Remingtonís inventory of R51 accessories.

Iíve thought about the function of the front indentation to bump the round toward the back of the magazine.  If so, the question then becomes why the magazine is not shorter, front to back, so that the round does not need to be pushed back?
There has been some speculation that maybe the magazine was sized to work with 45acp for a potential R51 offering in that caliber.

Welcome!  The R51 is unique and not without some quirks. If you have any questions be sure to ask.

The mags can seem like they are seated properly when sometimes they are not.  It takes a while to get the feel of the right click that tells you itís seated all the way.

Welcome Gerry!  Good to have a gunsmith here on the forum!  One question I have is about the magazine design.  Do any other gun magazines have the follower stop on the front of the mag like the R51?  Itís puzzling to me why it would be designed this way.

Welcome!  People on the internet trash the R51 without ever shooting one, and probably never even seeing one in person.
