Another update on the Dangerco.us website- it has been shut down.  NO MORE HOPE FOR TRIGGERS!

Welcome aboard!  Not much traffic here anymore.  Most of the topics have been covered but the site is a great forum to figure any problem out on the gun.

There is a change on the Dangerco.us website.  The out of stock items are gone now and there is a message that says "The store is closed for maintenance".  Could be getting ready for something new?

Welcome Larry!  There is not much "new" traffic on this forum.  But there is a ton of useful information here.  Let us know if you have any issues or have worked something out.

I just found another out-of-sequence R51 Smoke model listed on Gunbroker.  Looks like the serial number is H014663R51.  So it is evident that Remington pulled at least a couple from the assembly line for the smoke anodized finish.  The production run for the smoke model were from serial numbers ~H022XXXR51-H027XXXR51 in late 2017 through mid 2018.

That looks nice!  That's good to know.  I use an Uplula too but haven't had any issues.

First and foremost, please remove the magazine from your gun while working on it.  Don't want any accidents. Secondly, your third photo shows the hole for the slide catch.  The barrel must be visible through there before you can insert the slide catch.  See the photo below.

Just looking at the photo I can see that the barrel is sticking way too far out.  This could be the barrel being slightly out of rotation and not lining up with the grooves on the receiver.  You could try twisting the barrel with your hand to see if that will get it to go in place.  Or try holding the pistol pointing down with the barrel on your work bench/table and push down to see if that frees anything up.

Looks nice.  Love the wood grips.  I have those on both of mine.  The contours fill the hand much better than the flat plastic ones.  Did you modify your magazines to fix the stovepipe issues?  Here's a video:

Glad you got it working!  It was a simple fix that Remington should have done on their Gen 2 magazines.  For those of you reading this and still having this problem, here's a video on how to fix the problem mentioned above:

Here is an X-Ray photo of the disconnector.  It is a Gen 1 but it shows the trigger bar, hammer block spring and sear spring.  It sounds like, from your description, that the trigger bar is not installed on the lower ledge of the disconnector.  This will bring the trigger bar up to engage both the hammer block and the sear.  Just curious about the disconnector breaking in two, I suspect this is from dry firing the pistol with the slide removed from the receiver.  By doing this, the hammer will slam both the sear and the hammer block into the disconnector cross bar and potentially cause the damage you are describing.
