I am still making the tools, but am out of stock right now.  I will have some available next week.  I no longer have a website; the website that FlatEarther posted is the person that makes threaded barrels and triggers for the R51.

You can contact me through private message, and I will send you my email address.  Pricing is $55.00 for the standard or threaded barrel tool and one thumb-pusher or $75.00 for both barrel tools and one thumb-pusher, plus $5.00 shipping to the lower 48 states.

Just an update on the tooling that I make.  I no longer have a website (got tired of it getting hacked) so you need to contact me through a PM, if you are interested in purchasing these tools.

Also, prices have been updated to $55.00 per set, either the standard barrel tool and one thumb-pusher or the threaded barrel tool and one thumb-pusher, which includes shipping to the lower 48 states.  Price for a standard barrel tool, a threaded barrel tool and one thumb-pusher is $75.00, which includes shipping to the lower 48 states.

Have a great day.

Some of us old timers have arthritic hands; try taking one apart under these conditions.  Others just don't believe everything has to be done the hard way; tools make life a little easier!

I should have 4 more sets for the standard barrel available tomorrow; I have one set available for the threaded barrel.

Shortening the legs on the follower works very well with the seven loaded in the magazine.
I shortened them 1/8"

Another thing to consider is the tab in the front of the magazine, like pmf41 mentioned.  If you
insert the magazine into the pistol with the slide back, you will notice that the tab is used to push
the round back to keep it from hitting the barrel ramp on its way up.  I used a pair of pliers to
bend the tab up enough to still keep the rounds clear of the barrel ramp, but still give more
room in the magazine for them to move.  I used a small file to take the sharp edge off of the tab.
It seems to work very well this way.

As a gunsmith, I can tell you that all makes and models, semi-autos and revolvers, rifles and shotguns, have problems.  Anything mechanical has its limitations.  :)

Maybe a third one too, just in case one does fail!   :D

Some pistols costing much more than that have many more problems than 1 stoppage in 1000 rounds.  Many problems that I have had with new-to-me pistols have been caused by my lack of familiarity with them.  Once I have "learned " the pistol, many of the problems seem to disappear.

One of the things that has always bothered me is how many people will take their carry gun, and put thousands of rounds through it, and never consider the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) of this "mechanical" item.  All mechanical things have a failure rate.  So, the idea is to put a few hundred rounds through a pistol to gain familiarity and confidence with it, then, maybe ,put a magazine or two through it once a month to maintain that confidence.

You are asking for a failure to happen at the wrong time, if you carry a pistol that has thousands of rounds through it. OK at the range, but I wouldn't bet my life on it for carry.   JMO.

You might want to apply some heat from a heat gun or hair dryer.  Sometimes a little heat will make the sights move easier.  Just a suggestion.
