I put this up on another site that I'm a member of, I hope it's OK to post here as I'm the same author.

Any day I can get out and move around is a good day,
and any time I can get out and go to the desert and have some range time
is a great day, and today was one of those great days.

Weather was not to hot only 100 degrees when my wife and I started and 105 when we left.

My plan was simple, we would start with a box of Federal Champion 115 fmj with four mags two for me and two for the wife. If all goes well we go to the second box which was Freedom reloads and the same thing four mags and if that goes OK we move to the third box which was Federal white box range ammo using four mags.

Than if no problems we start back over and repeat the process until the ammo is gone.
But I also had a plastic tray in my kit bag with about 50 to 75 or so loose rounds from misc.
mfg.

Well I'm happy to say we did not have one single ammo malfunction, everything fed, fired, extracted, and ejected from the pistol to the right about four away. After reading and watching videos of other users with their R51 Gen2's and having problems I was all smiles.

I know earlier I said I was going to clean the pistol but decided what the heck it's already
lubed so lets just go for it. As you will see from the photos below I just don't know how some owners are getting slide bite. I will say this if your hands are bigger than my mitts you might consider a larger pistol...just saying.

Out of the four magazines we used I noticed one had a bit more resistance but still fed.
I'm still having to change my grip around to release the mag. My hands aren't what they used to be. And speaking of magazines, when inserting a loaded mag there is a slight false
stop so just continue pushing and it clicks and locks up.

I still want to put a couple 100 or so more rounds through it before I consider it for carry.
Here's the funny thing, during our session my thumb kept trying to find the frame safety and the hammer. 1911 memory,
