Hello R51ers,

I had followed the initial introduction of the R51 with great interest. It's exciting to see new guns that are not polymer framed with a trigger safety. I think most in the world of firearms wanted the gun to succeed.
When gen 1 shipped with so many production problems I was very impressed with Remingtons (eventual) response to its customers.

I was not in the market for new handguns until recently and had the opportunity to handle the R51. The gun fits my hand really well, I think it looks great, I love the trigger pull (but not the wobble) and i prefer the grip safety over a trigger safety for CC. Sold!

Recently I watched an R51test posted by Nutnfancy on You Tube. He gave it a bad review because he hates the look, the grip, and the safety (all of which I like). But was impressed by the guns trigger, accuracy and reliability (things I also like)

I pick up my new R51's next week.

Thanks

Dano,

Welcome to the R51 family from Louisiana! Please make a range post as soon as possible. I hope your new R51s function well for you.

Welcome to the forum! The ergonomics of the R51 and metal frame are two major reasons I also bought mine.  I think you will like how it shoots too.

Welcome to the forum fiveodano.

Nutnfancy LoL. I'm surprised you could sit through his ramble long enough to get anything out of it. That guy likes to hear himself talk ,and really talks about nothing relevant. Tim on the MAC is another one. Watching him is like watching a monkey with a football sometimes. Just read their comments section and you'll understand what kind of followers they're after. Most have probably never even touched an R51 and agree like sheeple.

I'm one who also didn't care for the grip safety initially, but have grown to like it. The trigger, not so much, and that's why I had to do something about mine early on. The R51 isn't perfect but it is a far cry better than some 9's on the market.
