Has anyone tried a 1911 holster?  My Ruger LC9s uses the same holster as a 1911 (Commander maybe) DeSantis D6,  The holster is just a little short for the R51.  One that is just a little longer in the barrel section would allow the trigger guard to seat.

R51 General Discussion / Loading single stack 9mm

I use an Uplula to load all magazines.  When loading single stack magazines they get a little wobbly in the Uplula.  Since I have extra magazines for three single stack pistols I though an adaptor was in order.  Pictured below is an adaptor that attaches to the bottom of the Uplula by friction.  The material is plastic similar to Delrin.  It was made on a bandsaw.

I use a Vedder because it was one of the few available when I bought the pistol.  i have used a Bianchi size 12, but it was modified with a Chicago screw.

hkp7fan:  You can try one for a Markorov, and it will come close.  I found the barrel to be a a little too long for the R51 to seat it The Bianchi leather style 100.

R51 General Discussion / Re: R-51 teething problems

I initially had issues with my R51 when I bought it during the rebate period.  I picked for the the looks and fit.  I actually bought 2 other ccw pistols that I could carry with confidence.  I finally ran across the follower trimming video and trimmed about 1/8" from the follower of all three magazines.  One hundred per cent improvement.  I ran four complete rounds through all three Tuesday with no problems.  Remington should be sending us all new followers, and possibly springs for us who bought the earlier ones supplied with heavier springs.

I have had an R51 for a few years and would like to view the forum to help work out some of its quirks.  Due to Covid I haven't been shooting it, and viewing the forum will be a good interest refresher.  I bought the R51 based on looks and feel in my hand.  I dislike the blocky (Glock) pistols.  I am a retired HS Industrial Arts teacher (10 yrs) and Certified Welding Inspector (22 yrs) in the Power Generation Industry.  My hobbies are golf, woodworking, metalworking, and tool repair.  I live in Oakville / South St. Louis County, MO.
