R51 General Discussion / Re: More bad reviews...
April 02, 2017, 11:20:35 PM
On another forum I posted a positive review and was met with nothing but strong negativity. None of the people who responded to my post had even held an R51. Some guy on YouTube posted some bad reviews about it, even whined about a red mark that was left on his tender wittle hand from the grip safety.  That guys videos were all then needed to keep hating the R51 and Remington as a whole. I never went back to that forum and never will.

R51 General Discussion / Re: Charlotte vs. Huntsville
February 20, 2017, 08:16:54 PM
Mine is a Gen 2 and is stamped Charlotte. I had some feeding issues with it up until this weekend.  Hollow points would always nose dive and get stuck on the tab in the magazine.  Sometimes round nose ammo would do the same. I broke out my Dremel and polished the feed ramp as well as the inside of the tab on the magazines.  It was still acting up a little manually cycling rounds, but it was a lot better.

This weekend I ran 100+ rounds of Winchester USA Forged 115-grain steel case ammo through it without any issues at all.  I then ran 20 rounds of Sig V-Crown 124 gr and 20 rounds of Federal 124 gr Hydra-Shok with zero issues.

A spring type clamp?  Seems like a good idea.  I'll have to try it.

Peace favor your sword,

I've been using those clamps on my R51. Works great!
