Ive had one before and sorta wished i hadnt sold it.  Was at a local Scheels this weekend and they had a LNIB used one for $200 duhhhhh i bought it.  Ive been trying to find out a MFG date or something telling me its a good Gen 2 model and not one of the first ones.  It was made in Huntsville.  Is that good or bad?

Thanks

R51 General Discussion / Re: Wood grips for R51

I just received a set of wood grips from the seller below.  I had some trouble getting them...post office problem not the seller.  Anyway sellers are super nice and the grips fit perfect.  Would highly recommend them.  The are wider than stock and feel great in the hand if your looking for something to fill your hand better.

Hey Guys/Gals,
I just saw a set of wood grips for the R51.  Black Walnut. They are on Ebay.

R51 General Discussion / Re: Less problems
February 13, 2017, 10:20:50 AM
I think I am having some of the same problems.  My r51 is almost impossible to rack with a full magazine.  And too the mag button is hard to press at times as well.  I have bee shooting this piece for a bit now with around 350 rounds through it and no real improvement.  This gun certainly no SIG but I love this little piece and not willing to give up on her yet.  I did load a magazine just to see if I can move the ammo down and they will push down past the lip....so I don't think modifying my floor plate will help.  I am hoping the springs will settle down a bit to make her little more reliable.  I go out and shoot around 100 rounds at a time with probably a 85% success rate.  I haven't wrote down or kept track every time is messes up but still not reliable enough to be certain it will be there when I need it.

Fun cool little gun that I hope starts running better but will keep shooting and see.

Great to find a forum like this.

I was drooling over this gun when it first came out but decided not to buy because of the recall.  Kinda backed off of guns for a year or so.  Went to my local gun shop the other day and see the R51 had be rereleased.  So what the heck I bought one.  I have about 25 rounds through it with only one failure to feed....but I contribute that to me loading the magazine with brass and aluminum rounds just for the fun of it.

I too have been experiencing hard to rack with a full mag and difficulities disassembling it and also hurting the web of my hand after firing it.

Looking forward to gaining some info.

Thanks
