howdy folks-

i have shot a lot, for many years, I am 56, and just wanted to post my experiences in first session with R51 for the benefit of others..shoots great, looks good, well priced, good ergonomics, and apparently reasonably accurate.  I have not taken the pistol down yet, and I know that is a point of contention with many.  I just need to shoot it more first.  the only thing i noticed is that i needed to have my hand FIRMLY on the grip safety when retracting the slide, or it would stop at about the half way mark.

I posted an inquiry as to whether I could find someone who makes a solid trigger, as I much prefer that look....and maybe some all black sights.  thanks!

I just purchased my R51 from Cabela's....paid a bit more than many of you, but that was my best option given location and transfer fees from other dealers.  I have shot the pistol some and it worked very well.  It seemed accurate, no problems, great ergonomics and nice looking.  I also think it represents good value.

Does anyone know if I can get a solid trigger for my R51?  They just LOOK so much better to my eye.  Also, I would love some simple BLACK sights.  These three dots sights look fine, and work ok, but I prefer all black...Novak esque, etc.  I have seen some tritium sights, but nothing like I describe.  Many thanks!
