Hello all, I've had my R51 since 9/2/16 and have had no major problems. I shoot about 5 mags every week and it's getting easier to assemble after cleaning.  Still want some fatter grip inserts; has anyone located some?

The first time I handled my R51 I noticed several sharp edges; so I disassembled and deburred all the sharp edges with a file.

Howdy, I'm Zeke from near St. Louis, MO.  Retired Marine, then retired machinist. 71 years old. I have fired many different weapons. Carried the same M14 for 2-1/2 years; 24/7 for the last 10 months of that period.  Carried an XM16E1 for 10 months 24/7, then a shotgun, a LAAW and a 1911 for 2 months 24/7.  Have carried concealed for about 45 years, the last 4 years legally. Bought my R51 when the Gen 2 became available on 9/2/16. Have shot 250 rds (124 and 147gr, JHP and FMJ) with one FTF.  I like it better with every shot and I'm getting used to disassembly and assembly.  I'm still debating whether to carry the R51 or my LC9sPro.  I have a Pachmyr grip sleeve on my LC9 so it fills my hand better. Looking for fatter grip panels for the R51.
