Cash is always best Robert,

I took a different approach, I wanted one of these back when they were 1st gen. They took them off the shelves so quick, I never got the chance. So this time around I ordered when before history repeats itself, and they disappear forever.

So far, mine's been 100% - Tomorrow I plan to order 1000 rounds of 9mm and put it through it's paces, I can't say all 1000 will go through it, But most will, I do like shooting my P7, So in any event, I hope my continues it's reliability streak, I really like the gun.

I hope Remington works out the kinks, they already have a bad rep from the 1st gen, I went to 3 Dealers before the release date, All three trashed it based off the problems of 2 years ago, 1 didn't even know they were being re-leashed, but still trashed it. the 4th guy, ordered it with no problem. So I'd say I hope they get it right this time, It's got a lot of potential as long as it's got the reliability worked out.

R51 General Discussion / Registration

Anybody had any luck registering their R51 ONLINE? - The owner's manual and their Website claim it can be done online, but when I go to the link, All I get is the option to Print out a PDF warranty card to mail in, it even says right above the "You can now register On-line" -- What am I missing?

I've sent (2) messages to them (Using their Contact Us link.) since I got my 51 back on the 15th of this month, No response.

I'm just wondering if I'm missing something, I'm running Win10, maybe I'll try mu older PC to see if that works.

Thanks.

Good Post lklawson, I just watched a Hickok45 of him doing that very thing with a PF9 - I'm screaming at the YouTube, Don't Dry Fire it!!! -- He might of heard me. Snap Caps are Always best for any Firearm in my opinion, Why risk it when you don't have too.(Cheap Insurance)

Hopefully, My R51 will be in the shop tomorrow.

Like Gunfrogg says: Triggers are subjective. I think I'm the only guy on the planet that thinks the M&P Shield triggers aren't that great, The pull on them is good, I just don't like the design that requires your index finger to be exactly at the lower tip of the trigger in order to disengage the safety and fire the gun.  IMO that's not ideal for a CC gun where you may or may not have time to think about proper trigger placement.

I ordered my R51 the other day, it's supposed to be here Wednesday, While the re-set (or lack thereof) doesn't bother me, I'm still trying to figure why Remington built an 'All-Metal' gun as they say, only to use a plastic trigger? But I'm looking forward to getting it for the shear mechanics alone, it's a different design and appears to be well made.

I hope it's a Hit for Remington.

Watched  a YouTube Video, The Shell is basically the same, The Floor plate is thicker and the follower now has a raised hump to apparently help feed better.
