I really do want one of these as well.  I have been following this soap opera for a few years now.

How do we keep up to date on the latest steps being taken to start selling the R51?

I sent an email to Remington asking for availability info a few days ago.  No response yet.

I wish they would start shipping.  I've been wanting the R-51 for my carry gun ever since I first read about it.  I use a pf-9 now, but it is really uncomfortable to shoot enough to keep proficient.  I also had to send it in for cracks in the slide a few months ago, after three years of usage (one box of WWB per month).  To their credit, Kel-Tec just replaced the thing, giving me the same serial number with a letter added.

Anyway, I want my R-51 !!!!!

That's me, a new guy to this forum.

I have been really interested in the R51 since reading about it before the initial release.  Boy was I disappointed with how many problems it had, and how long a corrected version would take to appear.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get one in a few weeks.  I want to use it as a CCW to replace my PF-9 which is on its second trip to Kel-Tec.  This last time the frame and slide had a total of four cracks.  This surprised me because I never used +P in it.  Just plain old WWB.  It only had about 1500 rounds through it.  It was not much fun to shoot because it was so light.  It was reliable, though, and was quite accurate for a little gun.

Anyway, I'm hoping to have an R51 soon.
