Finally got the R51 to work, New Years eve, soaked it with oil and ran a box of hot 115 gr Federal through it, was balky first it would shoot 1 round and fail to feed or feed but not firesp more oil and try again. DON'T EVER CLEAN WITH EZOXX!! IT WILL SCREW IT UP.

The angle of the R51 magazine is the same as a 1911 but many 1911 9mm magazines have a shim at the bullet base, inside which makes the magazine not fit the R51. Guess Remington is flooding the market with cheap guns to either dump inventory or hope to garner enthusiasm for the platform again.

The Walther PPS was $100 more, it took less time to take it down, clean it, lube it and put it back together than it took to put the ×!#@& barrel back into the slide of the R51. Why did I think this could be a "fun" gun.

You have one that actually works, sheesh, thiught it may be a worthwhile tool but it is a stinker. Faiure to feed, or failure to fire, its junk.
