Title: Hello from Ohio
Post by: Jetfixer on November 20, 2019, 10:12:41 PM
As my user name implies I am an aircraft mechanic, retired for almost 4 years now. I'm a long time handgun shooter, having purchased, with my parents permission a lightly used S&W K-22 when I was 14. It still resides in my gun safe but now has plenty of company of both the handgun and long gun variety.
I purchased my R51 about a year ago and it has become my edc. So far I've put around 500 rounds thru it with only a couple of hang ups that were confined to the first 50 rounds or so. After that it has run flawlessly and for me prints point of aim at 7-15 yards. I will say that field stripping/reassembly is no fun! Truthfully I haven't tried it with 7+1. I have the luxury of being able to safely shoot on my own property so will give that a try soon.
I am an Army Vietnam vet and would like to say "Thank You" to all veterans and active duty personal on here.

Best regards from this Army E-5 (1965-67). It just may take
an aircraft mechanic to work on the R51! But I like mine and
greatly benefitted from the information on this site and the
engineering guys who offer the tooling and triggers. Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
