Title: Introductory post
Post by: Swschu on January 10, 2019, 05:50:10 PM
Greetings. I am a combat veteran of the Foreign Legion and well trained and familiar with firearms of all types. I am on this forum to tout the Remington R51 in opposition to all the negative reviews this firearm has received.
I saw Youtube reviews of the R51 portray the gun poorly but the failures were 'operator error.' Having a gun and a camera with the ability to post videos online does not construe authority on a subject. The R51 has been wrongfully misaligned and in my experience with the R51 it is a formidable firearm...one that I carry with confidence.

Welcome aboard! Glad to have you with us! I wholeheartedly agree with your opinions on the little pistol. It continues to be maligned by haters who just want to hate. I carry mine with confidence as well. As much confidence as I would carry my 1911.

Thank you for your affirmation. I would be a terrible shame to see this extremely capable and well-made firearm fall from favor simply due to inept reviewers and users.

Well, I literally just got back from the range a few minutes ago and saw your post. I just ran about 28 rounds through it (mixed FMJ and Federal Hydra-Shok) and not the first hiccup. Funny how the haters (trashing a respected American company) came out of the woodwork for the R51 but the whole debacle with the Glock (Austrian) 42 was just gently smoothed over as an "oops" moment and shoved under the rug. I think the R51 is  maybe starting to slowly get some positive attention in the gun world. Or at least I hope so.

Welcome!  People on the internet trash the R51 without ever shooting one, and probably never even seeing one in person.
