Just wanted to say hello. I've had my r-51 for about a year now. I was drawn to the gun because it seemed to be designed from the ground up as the near perfect CCW 9mm arm right down to the add-on Crimson Trace laser. When it started getting the negative press I was curious to see the "problems" first hand.
In a world dominated by John M. Browning designs, to find a gun using something else that is a practical carry gun whose design brings some different positives to the table is something that I wanted to see first hand. I always wanted a Luger because it too, has an unusual mechanism, but I could never bring myself to buy one due to expense, and the simple fact that as a combat arm/CCW it was impractical, but the R-51 is different in that it too has both good looks and unlike a Luger the right size.
John
Welcome aboard from Louisiana! Glad to have you, and I think you will really grow to love your R51 a lot more over time.
Hello fellow Houstonian!
Welcome from Zona.
John, you didnt say how your gun performed. Everything I like about the R51 is its performance. I like the way it points naturally and the recoil is extremely slight....even with +P ammunition.

What I like about my R-51 is it's very flat shooting and now that I know what ammo it likes it's quite reliable..
