Title: trigger stop screw
Post by: JDCRAB on January 14, 2018, 01:23:26 PM
I was having trouble pinching my finger because of over-travel of the trigger on the R51.  So today I drilled and tapped the trigger guard to accept a 6-40 Allen head set screw.

Works just fine with no more pinched finger.  Also it just might help in the accuracy dept.  Can't wait till spring to find out.  Too cold to shoot around here right now.

Wow J.D. You got adventuresome! I wouldn't conceive of drilling a hole in my frame for a set screw, but it sounds like it worked well! I haven't had it pinch me yet, just wobble around like a drunk goose on an icy pond!

 :( :'( SPRING?  :( :'(

I never got my finger pinched in mine but a friend did and said that's the only thing he didn't like about the gun.

Looking for the wobble, I can see and feel it.

Shooting the gun, I never even notice it.

Should have been better engineered, granted, but it's actually non-problem.

It works, no doubt, but looks and fits like it was sub contracted to Fisher Price for production.  :P
