Hello there I just picked up my new R51 from Sportsman's Warehouse in Federal Way on Saturday. I've been pretty busy this holiday weekend but hope to tear it down for a good cleaning this week, and look forward to taking it to the range and running a couple of hundred rounds through it.
I read through many (maybe even most) of the posts in this forum and found them to be very informative. Thank you for taking the time to post - they were instrumental in convincing me to go ahead with this purchase.
I ordered a couple of additional magazines from the Remington website today (used an on line coupon for 20% off) and have been looking at IWB holsters. I'm pretty confident that the difficulties that some of you have had with the Gen 2 have been or will soon be resolved. The rebate makes the price very attractive and worth the risk, in my opinion. It's a beautiful piece with excellent ergonomics and a perfect form factor for IWB carry.
I also like the fact that Remington is thinking outside the box with this product, and am happy to be supporting American workers and business.
Best Regards and Stay Safe.
Welcome and good luck. Let us know how it goes.
Welcome from Arizona. Looking forward to your range report.
Welcome aboard! Glad you got one anyway, despite what the nay sayers out there have been broadcasting. I think you will agree (I hope) that this may be the nicest little gun that you have bought in a long time (or maybe in all time!).
Welcome to the forum! The R51 is a great design at a price that can't be beat.
