Got my new Smokey today.
Looks great! Number 7 Magazine feeds fine, number 6 cannot load 7th cartridge
without loader. Both lips had to be bent out. Number 6 mag would nose dive every time
unloading by hand. Will be on the range bright and early Monday am with
"Blackie" and "Smokey"
Noticed something else on Smokey, You cannot eject unfired top cartridge from chamber
with 7 rounds in either mag. Of course all of this may be immaterial when I fire the
gun. Maybe something to the "Breakin" period on the gun?
Can't wait to get bone grips for Smokey.

It may very well be needing to be broken in before some of those things clear up. Sad to hear Remington still can't seem to make a decent mag. We shouldn't have to modify them to MAKE them WORK. They should just do that with no input from us. Anyway, glad it finally made it to you. Hope she spits plenty of lead downrange with no hang ups. Can't wait for the range report!
