(sigh) Saw that there were two more bad reviews posted on YouTube today... I kinda wish some people would post GOOD reviews. Oh well...

Plunkster,
Some folks think that if they give a bad review it will make them famous and people will respect and listen to them.
Pity they only show their ignorance. I give little credence to YouTube reviews unless I know the reviewer.
I have seen reviews of firearms and the person giving the review did not even know the proper names for the firearms parts.

On another forum I posted a positive review and was met with nothing but strong negativity. None of the people who responded to my post had even held an R51. Some guy on YouTube posted some bad reviews about it, even whined about a red mark that was left on his tender wittle hand from the grip safety. That guys videos were all then needed to keep hating the R51 and Remington as a whole. I never went back to that forum and never will.
On the High Road forum someone asked why there were no new postings on the R51. The answer from several members was, "well, the R51 has become boring reliable and there was nothing to add". Mine sure has smoothed out and it started out as basically a single shot pistol. Even a trip back to Remington didn't get it to function reliably but a little patience and time did the trick.
This is too true... I've owned LOTS of pistols and have never had one that REALLY requires a break in like the R51. I love it now, but wasn't so hot on it at first. Maybe Remington should put about 200 rounds through them before shipping - but then people would complain about wear! Oh well - I'm happy with mine!
