Just joined up and looking forward to some discussions on the R51. I knew nothing about this gun until the release of the Gen2. One of our guys had an old 51 in .380 that he brought in to shoot, and the Remington rep came in with the new R51. Did a side-by-side shoot, and fell in love with the new R51. The art deco look is really cool, but the way it shoots for me is the best part. For the price, it was a done deal.

I bought it as a carry gun, and I can unload the mag quite quickly and keep it spot-on the target (fist-sized group). Very little muzzle-flip, recoil is hardly noticeable. I've had no failures to feed or eject, so it looks like I have a good one. The only odd thing is the point of impact is a bit low with my range ammo, to I look forward to reading up on others' experiences along those lines.
