Title: True size for the Remington R51 Pistol - 6-5/8 inches
Post by: Robert on January 30, 2014, 03:57:05 PM
It seems the true size of the Remington R51 Pistol has been mis-reported on many of the firearm websites and blogs at only 6" long.

It is being billed by Remington as a sub-compact but it is in fact 6-5/8" long not the incorrect 6" as reported on many blogs

It was previously reported at only 6" long - see below for a screenshot taken directly from Remington's 2014 Firearm Catalog.

I had been worried that this gun was too big, or bigger than I hoped for.

So, when I got my hands on the first one, so far the only one, I asked to compare it directly with another gun in the showcase, that I am familiar with.

That just happened to be a Sig P938.

Overall demensions, by "overlaying" the two guns showed only one important difference.
The muzzle of the R51 extended abiut 5/8" beyond the Sig muzzle.

I certainly think that I can "hide"that!

Now, to continue to investigate if I think one of these is really what I want.  (The Sig wasnt!)
