R51 familiarization

Mild weather here in Eastern Pa.; took my R51 out for 100 round session. My first two tries with this nice pistol (350 rds.) I had it shooting way low. Today, was right on the money at 15 yds., chest-size target. So my initial experience with this gun was just my "newness" to it, and getting used to the trigger, etc. My range's 7 yd. target is out of commission for a spell, but at 15 yds. with hardball ammo, it was very predictable. I need to shoot anything a few times before making a judgement about it! I had only one failure to fully eject in 100 rounds; 99% OK! I like that this Forum seems to have insightful, sincere writers, all helpful. We've all seen forums where people misspell, and make dumb comments. This Forum is very professional and supportive. That's what I like about the forum too. The enthusiastic R51 owners here are a welcome change from the Remington bashing that occurs on most other gun forums.
