Indy,
I thought they would have sent you two I complained about mine, and they sent me two free ones.
I think some body else on here got some too.

'Tis me.  They really didn't appear to be any different than the ones that came with the pistol from the factory.  I just tossed the two new ones in my gun bag to be tried the next time I take the pistol to the range.  And that's not going to happen until I can get my hands into a good shooting glove.  This pistol really wrecks the web between my thumb and the rest of my hand.

Dutch,
Try  "Cavender's Western Wear",  I bought a pair of goatskin riding gloves there, and they sure make a difference.  I have had mine close to a year, and they hold up well.

Funny, so far I have absolutely no problem with the gun hurting my hand in any way.  However, I will be happy when the grip safety breaks in a bit.  Clicky clack!
Was afraid I might when I first read about it.
And I do have large hands, now crippled up with old age arthritis.
4 knee replacements, (3 & 1), thumb joints and one shoulder.  And right now, a smashed right thumb, slammed it in the truck door!  Locked, yet!  First time for everything!

I am not scheduled for the funeral home, just the scrap yard.

Just received my new and improved mags from Big Green.   Visually, no difference
in the ones just received and the old ones.   only difference is the stock numbers.
Look and load the same.  Unloading, a different story.   Trying to unload the mags
the nose of the bullets catch on the little bent portion of the mag.
I am going to the range today and will give these
mags a workout with several  different brands of ammo.
Wish me luck.

Just got back from the range.
Tried both new mags with a variety of ammo.  Hollow point, FMJ and Win USA Forged (steel).
Had one nose dive, other than that, all went well.  Jury is still out.
I engraved numbers  on the mags with a dremel.   1 thru 5.   #5 had 1 nose dive.

I have the same mags that came with the gun and bought 2 extras a few weeks after. Been using all 4 since May of this year.  So exactly what are the new mags suppose to improve?

peach2k,
you are lucky, enjoy your gun, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Just got another mag in the mail today,
Likely will try it just as is, first.
I have already modified, (shortened the legs on the follower by 3/16 inch on the originals).
Seemed to have made a world of difference
.
Not only ABSOLUTELY NO "misquiffs", since, but it fixed the locked up slide when a full mag, 7 rounds loaded, was inserted under a closed slide.  Before, one could not hand cycle the slide and it almost took a hammer on the slide release button, to remove the mag.

Thoughts on it?
I believe that some engineer messed up on the stack height of the loaded mag, vs room between the floor plate and the bottom of the slide and/or it's internals.

I saw someone on here say that if the spring was installed opposite side up of the factory installation, the mag would only hold 6 rounds.

Now, after the trimming of the legs, my first assembly would only hold 5 rounds in each mag??????
So, tore them down again and put them back together again.
6 rounds top this time!
But fooling around with them, suddenly something sort of "snapped", and whoa, 7 rounds again, this time with some extra, (about 3/16ths of an inch) extra slop.
Slop, as in one could push the rounds down about that much farther before it came to an actual solid stop.  (Wasn't that way originally, just barely able to squeeze that last round in)

Now, what I "imagine", (don't have X-ray eyes!), at least one of those spring coils had to snap through, or inside of another one.  Or else, I didn't have one or the other ends of the springs seated in the follower or floor plate, correctly.

I think I did see where someone on here, cut one whole coil off the spring, and it worked fine.
Someone else stated that the difference between the first and the present mags, was "one extra coil",on the new ones, Again, ????  (The size of the wire, and who knows just how consistent that might be, while using 11 or 12 folds, is also quite important.)

Personally, I think certainly the biggest and maybe the only, thing other than just general break in, that what was wrong with mine was the mags themselves!

Oh, an aside, I know some of you guys that got yours before I did, got AL frames, well mine is still a NC one.
