I liked the features of the R51 from the beginning. Size, weight, grip safety and shaped for easy carry. I was very disappointed when the Gen 1 was a disaster.  Had to wait a long time to get the Gen 2. The only failure I have had is with the XTP bullet. Round nose FMJ  and HP have fired flawlessly in mine.
I have 1911s, M&P Shield, Glock 26, Ruger LC 9s, and an old AMT .380 Backup with a grip safety. All good carry guns, but they don't stack up to the R51 in many ways.
I must admit, I had reliability concerns with the R51 when I bought it, but liked it well enough to take the risk.
Love this pistol for many reasons.
