Finally got it out to the range
« on: January 22, 2019, 10:46:55 AM »
I had broken in the magazines with some loading and unloading.  Bent the tab that holds the follower back a bit and took a flat file to the tab before heading out.  Also did a disassembly and lube first.  Took pictures of everything "as found" before any rounds through it.

100 rounds of S&B 124 gr.
50 rounds of Rem UMC 115 gr.
50 rounds of Browning 115 gr.

Zero jams.  One instance of magazine dropping after first round, clearly my fault since it never happened again.

On the first magazine ever, it did not go into battery by pulling the slide back from the slide stop position and letting go.  I just used the slide release lever after that.

Shot 4 mags of 7+1 just fine.  The mag took some coaxing but it definitely worked.

No steel case ammo because it is not allowed at this particular range.

Nice outing!  I'll shoot it again this week before I try taking it apart to clean it.  The only noticeable thing is lots of scratch marks on the spring bushing.  I suppose that is normal from any manufacturing burrs on the slide?

I have a lot of scratch marks on mine too. Normal from what I have found out. Ill post some pics of mine later if I can find them. Glad to hear your pistol is running like it should.
